Helen started working for Lawrence Veterinary Centre in October 1994 to study as a veterinary nurse and qualified in August 1997. Her main interest is in animal behaviour. She has a certificate in Companion Animal Behaviour from the British Veterinary Nursing Association and an Undergraduate Credit in Clinical Application of Pheromone Therapy for the management of behaviour problems in companion animals from the University of Lincoln. In July 2006 she qualified as an SQP with Amtra, allowing her to prescribe and supply certain veterinary medicines. In 2012 Helen became Assistant Practice Manager. Away from work she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two spaniels Fern and Floyd.
