Ultrasound scanner

The scanner allows us to image certain parts of the body using ultrasound, a non-invasive diagnostic technique which can be done on a conscious patient.

It is more commonly used for imaging the abdominal organs such as the kidneys and bladder, or the heart which requires skill and interpretation. It can be used to guide further tests or sampling.
